Fresh Ten Moments From Club Skirts The Dinah 2009

Club Skirts The Dinah 2009 brought an incredible amount of unforgettable moments to the thousands of party-going fans and celebrities alike who filled 5 nonstop days with dancing, swimming, playing, and, of course, a little making out. We put crowd reaction to the test and have very scientifically-ish come up with Cherry Grrl’s Fresh Ten Moments From Club Skirts The Dinah 2009.

10. Uh Huh Her Concert. Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey stopped by Palm Springs for a late afternoon show and delighted fans with songs off of their latest release, Common Reaction.

9. Margaret Cho Comedy Hour with Jessica Kirson and Gina Yashere. All three comics were hysterical and the hosts, Jill Bennett and Elizabeth Keener, were just as funny as the headliners.

8. Celebrity Dodgeball. With a sign behind them that read, “I dodged balls at The Dinah,” how could they go wrong? Fans got the chance compete against celebrities and online personalities like Suzanne Westenhoefer, Shawnee Harkins, FEED director Mel Robertson, Bridget McManus, Top Model twins Amanda and Michelle Babin, comedian Cat Davis, and Michelle Fleury from Curl Girls. With Elizabeth Keener as the MC and several direct shots to the head for the players, it was pretty great.

7. Katy Perry. We sure hope her boyfriend didn’t mind her coming out to The Dinah to play for a packed room of lesbians, because it was one terrific show!

6. Indigo Girls Show. At a Dinah event that had something for everyone, the power of the acoustic performance was not forgotten amidst the mega pop stars. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers made their first ever appearance at The Dinah and immediately had their fans singing along like only they can.

5. Dinah Idol. The talent came out for The Dinah’s first Dinah Idol event and after a very close competition of amazing performers, the judges chose hip-hop artist Melange Lavonne as the winner. Lavonne later opened for Uh Huh Her and proved why she was worthy of the title.

4. Lube Wrestling. You really had to be there to understand this one… but suffice to say ain’t nothin’ finah than slippery lesbians at The Dinah!

3. Saturday Pool Party. The largest grrl party of the weekend and perhaps one of the largest in the world, the Saturday Pool Party made all the “Dinah Ho’s” feel like “Dinah Virgins” all over again!  Bikini clad ladies dancing, drinks flowing, and music pumping reminded everyone that the sun isn’t the only thing hot in the desert!

2. Suzanne Westenhoefer. Can we tell you how much we love this woman?  Her stellar performance in the Riviera’s Grand Ballroom (with an awesome opening act by Erin Foley) had the audience roaring with laughter.  Suzanne never ceases to amaze fans with her unique blend of humor and warmth.  She’s the lesbian-next-door, only way funnier!

1. Lady Gaga. When Mariah Hanson plans an event, be prepared to be blown away!  Club Skirts The Dinah 2009 brought countless reasons to be in attendance but perhaps the most jaw dropping moment of this entire fabulous week was when pop mega star and record breaking recording artist Lady Gaga brought down the house for a sea of lesbians!  More than just a concert, this was one performance that even Mariah herself will be hard pressed to top!
