She’s Fired!

Several weeks ago Donald Trump publicly supported Miss California, Carrie Prejean, after news of some non-pageant-like behaviors surfaced but yesterday the pageant organization stripped her of her crown. The organization explained that Prejean failed to honor her commitments to attend events and represent the state – as she was perhaps too busy in her outspoken support for “opposite marriage” and endorsement of the anti-gay tactics of the National Organization for Marriage.

Following her firing, Prejean was interviewed by TMZ and said that she was “shocked” and insisted that the real motivation behind her firing was political: “What’s behind this, I think, is a political debate. They don’t agree with the stance that I took [on Prop 8]. Shanna [Moakler] is trying to bash me. They don’t like me. From day one they wanted me out and they got what they wanted.”
